Walking Corso Italia - Genoa's Seaside Promenade

Built in the early 20th century, Corso Italia is where Genoa breathes. It connects the city center (Foce) to the village of Boccadasse.

On the Bus

The Red Line drives the entire length. Sit on the right side of the bus for the sea view.

Highlights

1. Lidos & Beach Clubs: The coast is lined with historic bathing establishments (Stabilimenti Balneari). In summer, they are the social hub.
2. Abbey of San Giuliano: A surprising mediæval abbey surviving amidst modern development.
3. Architecture: Look at the Art Nouveau villas on the land side.

It is the favorite spot for joggers and skaters. On Sundays, families stroll with gelato.
