Genoa Shopping Guide - High Street to Artisans

Genoa offers two distinct shopping experiences: grand avenues and tiny alleys.

1. High Street: Via XX Settembre

The stops Piazza De Ferrari or Brignole engage the main shopping drag.

• What: Zara, H&M, local department stores (Coin).
• Look Up: The arcades have incredible mosaic floors and decorated ceilings.

2. Luxury: Via Roma

Just off Piazza De Ferrari.

• What: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, high-end Italian brands.

3. Historic Shops: The Old Town

Genoa maintains a list of "Botteghe Storiche" (Historic Shops) active for at least 70 years.

• Finollo: Since 1899, famous for ties (Duke of Windsor bought them here).
• Pietro Romanengo fu Stefano: Ancient sweets and candied fruits. A jewel box of a shop.
