In the 16th century, Genoa was so rich it was the banker of Europe. The "Rolli" were lists of prestigious palaces chosen by lottery to host visiting cardinals, princes, and kings.
Via Garibaldi (Strada Nuova) is the epicenter. The HOHO bus stops nearby (Piazza Fontane Marose or De Ferrari).
One ticket covers three main palaces:
Twice a year (usually May and October), the city opens all the private palaces to the public for free. If you are in town then, it is unmissable.
