Genoa, Italy – Porto Antico, Piazza Caricamento & Piazza De Ferrari
The main starting point for the Red Line is usually at Piazza Caricamento (right in front of the Aquarium), but you can join the tour at any designated stop. The city is well-connected by train and sea.
Genoa has two main stations: Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole. Both are excellent starting points. From Piazza Principe, it's a short walk to the Maritime Station or the Aquarium stop. From Brignole, you can hop on at the nearby Piazza della Vittoria stop.
Parking in Genoa can be challenging due to its layout. We recommend leaving your car at the large parking lots in the Porto Antico area, near the Aquarium, or at the 'Autopark Piccapietra' near Piazza De Ferrari. From there, the nearest bus stop is just minutes away.
Local AMT buses connect all neighborhoods to the center. If you are staying in the hills or suburbs, take a local bus to Piazza De Ferrari or Piazza Caricamento to transfer to the sightseeing bus.
If you are staying in the historic center, the best way to reach a stop is on foot. Head towards the waterfront (Porto Antico) or the main square, Piazza De Ferrari, where the red buses are easily visible.
Genoa is steep and sprawling. The bus saves your legs from the climbs, offers unique elevated views of the harbor, and links the distinct worlds of the historic center and the seaside promenade.
The heart of revitalized Genoa. Hop off here to visit the famous Aquarium, the Galata Sea Museum, and the panoramic Bigo lift, or simply wander the palm-lined harbor front designed by Renzo Piano.
